Traditions

Join in the celebration of an Auburn victory in the Traditions area of the museum. This area features a replica of Toomer's corner in downtown Auburn where students, faculty, staff and townsfolk gather to celebrate after each important Auburn victory. The replica is complete with a facade of Toomer's Drugs store and a rolled tree.

The Traditions area also features a "What Auburn Means to Me" display where museum visitors can record their very own message about their Auburn experiences, or watch others explain their recollections, including some very special Auburn people and former athletes.

Finally, the Traditions area features an audio-visual-artifact exhibit on the Sharpe Sand and Gravel Company, founded by Andy Sharpe. Mr. Sharpe's company was responsible for the bulding of the Memorial Coliseum in 1969, and additions to Jordan-Hare in 1955 and 1980.
